Chaplain

Reverend Dr. Roger Ellis is currently the Police Champlain with Sarnia Police service and has served as the Police Chaplain since 1990. This position is a volunteer position and holds the honorary rank of Inspector. He holds the Master Certification in Police Captaincy with the International Conference of Police Chaplains and is currently the President of the Ontario Police Champlain's Association.

Reverend Dr. Ellis was responsible for establishing the Employee Assistance Program for Sarnia Police Service and currently administers the program to all Sarnia Police Service employees.

Each year Reverend Dr. Ellis hosts a Police Memorial Service at the Redemeer Lutheran Church, where he is the senior pastor for police members and their families.
